Management and Administration

The Abbeyfield Research Foundation is governed by an academic research panel of experts and a board of trustees. The Abbeyfield Society began funding peer-reviewed research in 2013/4. In 2015 the decision was taken to launch a new, separate independent charity, The Abbeyfield Research Foundation, in recognition of the large volume of good quality applications and to establish a more substantial funding base.

GDPR: If you apply for funding, we will only hold and use your data for the administration of the grant process amongst members of the academic panel. If you are shortlisted for a stage two application we will use information about your proposal and application documents to gain external peer review (as part of AMRC requirement) from valid, carefully selected academics within the specific and related field of your application. Submitting an application indicates agreement with this statement, unless we are notified otherwise.
